The Database Specialist designs, implements, supports, and maintains the server and database environments. This person is responsible for ensuring data integrity and security, performing routine backups and recovery operations, collaborating with developers, and writing and optimizing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to enhance performance.

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Five years of experience in data analysis or the design and development of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL, DB2, and Oracle on projects similar in size and scope to this Project
• Four years of experience in overseeing the database development, programming, database optimization techniques, and maintenance of enterprise-level software applications
• Must have proven ability to work in distributed systems
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience in developing and implementing an enterprise data warehouse
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience with Online Analytical Processing (OLAP and Online Transaction Processing (OLTP)
• Must have experience developing and implementing a Representational State Transfer (RESTful API) for a relational database
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to contribute toward creating a harmonious, results-oriented team
• Experience and proficiency in mentoring staff
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
